OnTrac is committed to providing its customers an excellent service experience with every package, every day. We have been hard at work preparing for the 2019 holiday season and want to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible.

We expect package volumes to spike considerably during this time of year. Contingencies are in place, and we’ve prepared the following resources to help you plan a successful holiday season:

Follow Packaging Guidelines

Improper packaging can cause unnecessary delays. Review our Packaging Guidelines to avoid issues.

Double-Check Addresses & Instructions

Our online shipping systems include address validators, but we encourage you to be diligent with the additional details that can impact delivery. Confirm access codes, suite numbers, hours of operation and any other details that can help us provide you the best service experience.

Use ontrac.com for Faster Customer Service

Both our Tracking Results and Contact Us pages include special action form that helps us address your service requests as quickly as possible. You can call 800.334.5000 for support, but you could experience long hold times during the holiday season.

Plan for Extra Transit Days

Transit days may fluctuate during the holiday season. We’ve added a significant amount of seasonal support, but delays may occur. Be aware that any packages picked up
December 24, 2019 will incur an additional transit day.

Be Aware of Exceptions

We temporarily adjust some of our fees and surcharges to offset the higher operating costs of the holiday season and suspend our Money-Back Service Guarantee from November 17 to December 27.

Stay on Top of Service Alerts

Winter weather conditions can impact our ability to provide service. As interruptions occur, we will update our Service Alerts page to keep you informed.

Year-End Holiday Schedule


  • Wednesday, November 27: Normal Service.
  • Thursday, November 28: Closed for Thanksgiving.
  • Friday, November 29: Normal Service.
  • Saturday, November 30: Normal Saturday Service.


  • Monday, December 23: Normal Service.
  • Tuesday, December 24: Normal delivery Services. Pickups by special request only.
  • Wednesday, December 25: Closed for Christmas.No freight movement.
  • Thursday, December 26: Normal Service.*
  • Local deliveries only. Packages picked up December 24, 2019 will incur an additional transit day.

New Year's

  • Tuesday, December 31: Normal Service.
  • Wednesday, January 1: Closed New Year's Day.
  • Thursday, January 2: Normal Service.

Drop Box Service

Many Drop Boxes will have a pickup time that is earlier than usual. Please check your local drop box a few days before the holiday for the posted pickup time.

Closing Early?

So that we may give you the highest level of service, please take a moment to let us know if you have any specific service needs around the holiday. Please complete this form and return it to your Service Provider, fax it to Customer Care at 602.333.4679 or email it to webcustomerservice@ontrac.com.
